You may remember Barry Blair as one of the founders of the band Audio Adrenaline in the late 80s, but it was during the 90s that he became one of the most successful Christian bands of that decade.
Barry Blair left Audio Adrenaline in 1996, however, he has not strayed from music and his faith. Recently, Barry has released his own version of the classic song Down In the Lowlands, originally written by Charlie Peacock but released and performed on Russ Taff's self-titled album in 1987.
Curiously, his former band Audio Adrenaline also released a cover of this song in 2006, 10 years after he left the group. Barry says about it:
<< If there's an Audio A version I'm not aware of it.>>
Barry Blair has recorded all the instruments for this song (Guitar, bass, drums), while the singer of the band Strength Betrayed, Thomas Smith, has stood out on vocals.
It is worth mentioning how Barry has turned a classic CCM song into a heavy one, an interesting proposal with a much more contemporary sound.
Although Barry has not openly announced the release of an album or a new band, this could perhaps be the beginning of new projects.
