Michael Sweet launches new single and video “Bizarre”

Michael Sweet, lead singer and guitarist of Stryper, has released last Friday, July 22, the video of the song 'Bizarre'. The song is taken from his upcoming solo album "One sided war", the album will be released on August 26 via Rat Pak Records.

   << "Musically, it's my heaviest solo album," Sweet said. "It's not thrash metal but there are definitely some songs on there that will pop out at you. There are some songs that have a bit of the IRON MAIDEN / DIO feel to them, as well as some songs that have a little bit of a VAN HALEN influence to them. It's a very guitar-oriented, hard rock/metal album with lots of melodies and hooks." >>

    His band for the video shoot varies a bit from the musicians who recorded the track on the One Sided War album, with Todd Kerns and Scott Coogan joining the live performance alongside Sweet and shred-master Ethan Brosh. On the album version of the track, Evanescence drummer Will Hunt and bassist John O’Boyle join Sweet and Brosh.

   "Bizarre" is a song by a little more than four minutes, but their intensity and great musical quality, makes it appear to be a very short song. Musically speaking,  the most attractive in this song are the great guitar riffs of the WHITESNAKE guitarist, Joel Hoekstra.

    The video was filmed on Las Vegas, was directed, edited and Produced by Jamie Brown for Smoking Gun Productions.
